Dr. Siri Kunchakarra

Dr. Siri Kunchakarra has been delivering exceptional cardiovascular care to patients in the Central Valley since 2019. As a former Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF Fresno, she established and served as the Medical Director of the Cardiac Oncology Program and was the Associate Program Director for the Adult Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program. Dr. Kunchakarra’s extensive background in advanced medical imaging, combined with her board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac CT, and Cardiac MRI, ensures her patients receive the highest level of personalized care.

A native of the Bay Area, Dr. Kunchakarra earned her Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She continued her medical education at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she earned her medical degree. Following this, she completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago, and then pursued a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. Dr. Kunchakarra completed an additional fellowship in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging at Loyola, gaining proficiency in echocardiography, cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, and nuclear cardiology.

Dr. Kunchakarra is passionate about using advanced cardiovascular imaging to improve the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac conditions, such as valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, and cardiomyopathies. Her patient-centered approach is marked by attention to detail and a dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes.

In addition to her imaging expertise, Dr. Kunchakarra is a specialist in cardio-oncology, focusing on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular complications related to cancer therapies. She is committed to providing comprehensive, integrated care to cancer patients, ensuring their heart health is prioritized throughout their treatment journey and beyond.
